RESET 2020 has launched!
Taranaki Arts Festival are thrilled to throw open doors to theatres, creative spaces, museums, and galleries, around Taranaki.
RESET 2020, 5-15 November, will showcase a dazzling display of entertainment with a smorgasbord of 13 shows, 19 performances, and 30 events over two weeks.
It's a unique festival programme that TAFT CEO Suzanne Porter hopes will energise people with the impressive all-New Zealand line-up, and events.
"Why does anyone do festivals and events in this environment, because creativity, entertainment and culture are important for communities to thrive," Porter says.
"We've had to be bold, and brave proceeding with both the Taranaki Garden Festival and RESET festival, let's all keep our fingers crossed".
Wildly funny pop parody Two Hearts: Taranaki World Tour are bringing their arena-sized pop concert experience to the Theatre Royal for one night only. The pop parody featuring New Zealand comedians, Laura Daniel and Joseph Moore will dazzle audiences with their bombastic pop-comedy and confetti-filled stage show.
And for those who are feeling frisky, laugh-out-loud love comedy, Don Juan, by much-loved troupe Slightly Isolated Dog will bring their naughty out for two nights with brilliant theatrical magic, twisted pop songs and an interactive comedy show about the world’s greatest lover combined.
To make sure that the festival can be enjoyed widely, ticket prices have been kept at $25pp, and under. Three shows are touring Around Taranaki in venues outside the TSB Showplace. Inglewood, Opunkae, Okato and the new Roof Top Bar in New Plymouth will host RESET 2020 shows CRINGE WORTHY! Super Hugh-Man, and Albi and the Wolves.
Porter is encouraging everyone to make the most of it, to experience and aim to see as many of the performances as they can.

Lisa Haskell RESET 2020 Festival Manager says the festival has provided an opportunity to support and profile Taranaki's creative community at a time when it's most needed.
"There is a wealth of Taranaki talent on offer during RESET 2020 in addition to our core festival programme, ranging from hands-on workshops, inspiring visual arts through to entertaining music and pop up events!" she says.
With over 30 community events featured within the festival programme, people can expect a feast for the senses.
"We've put together a snapshot of the creativity of the region, providing a colourful, exciting and spicy mix to the festival calendar which we are proud to present. "
Feast Festival Taranaki is part of the festival programme adding to the vibrancy of the region and enhancing the around the mountain offering of entertainment and events.
Feast Festival Taranaki began in 2017 to show the rest of New Zealand the region's world-class hospitality scene. More than 40 cafes, bars, and restaurants have taken part in the celebration which also showcases many of Taranaki's local growers, producers, distillers, and brewers.

The Taranaki Arts Festival has a long-recognised history, and this year celebrates its 30th anniversary. TAFT acknowledges and thanks festival partners, patrons, and sponsors.

Porter says that without the support, TAFT would not be able to deliver or present the calibre of performances that they bring to the region.
