30 Years Call to Action

Our Festivals have become part of the fabric of life in Taranaki. Womad, the Taranaki Garden Festival, and the hugely successful Taranaki Arts Festival have, over the years, created so many incredible memories for people, performers and our community.

As part of our 30 Years of Festival documentary project, we want you to share the stories, photos and videos of your favourite festivals over the last 30 years of TAFT with us.

If you have a festival memory you are happy to share and potentially be used as part of our project, fill out the submission form below.

During the Right Royal Cabaret Fest, 29 July – 01 August, we will be exhibiting highlights from festivals-past, an installation featuring over 60 images hung in the Alexandra Room, TSB Showplace.

We are thrilled to share this festival timeline and many of TAFT’s iconic events, showing how as a regional arts organisation, we have survived and prospered over time and the positive impact the festivals have had on the community.

TAFT has been presenting festivals to our audiences for 30 years, and since our first arts celebration way back in 1991, we are proud to have brought world-class performers and shows to Taranaki to entertain you all.
