Global Village
At the heart of the festival, the Global Village is home to more than 80 stalls trading quality art and craft, and food from around the globe. This is your chance to eat, drink and shop your way around the world!
Only quality products make it in to WOMAD. You’ll find everything from art, craft, clothing, jewellery, musical instruments, trinkets, sculptures, hats, flags. And then there’s the seemingly endless choice of what to eat and drink!
Womad has made a strong commitment to support sustainable livelihoods for farmers in developing countries by being the first festival in New Zealand to exclusively use Fairtrade certified coffee throughout the festival.
