The 2014 festival is set to awaken your senses with an impressive array of gardens and a diverse events programme.  Spring will bloom in wonderfully cultivated gardens and carefully thought out eco-systems and we are delighted to present this to you at our 27th festival; all within the majestic and sumptuous setting that is Taranaki!

This year’s Landscape Design Project The Falling Garden, designed by UK artist Rebecca Louise Law, will be a floral dreamscape.  Enjoy The Falling Garden during the day or delight in this visual feast at either the vibrant Spring Fashion Show or at the Mitre 10 Master Chef event during the evening, hosted by this year’s Master Chef 2014 winners Karena and Kasey Bird.

Headline guest speaker Jo McCarroll, the editor of NZ Gardener magazine, will share what she has recently discovered about garden trends overseas.  Alongside Jo we are also presenting an impressive line-up for our Garden Speaker Series – check out our events programme line up for further information.

In keeping with the continual growth and variety the festival welcomes seven new gardens and introduces speciality tours this year. Lovers of architecture will be delighted by the Chapman-Taylor Tour; a journey in celebration of the architectural works in Taranaki of renowned architect James Walter Chapman-Taylor.  Those of you who enjoy flicking through the pages of NZ House & Garden and New Zealand Gardener will take pleasure in our House & Garden Tour.  If all your tiki-touring leaves you feeling weary, take time for some relaxation and re-energise by taking part in our Tai Chi in the gardens.

We would like to welcome all new comers, and thank our supporters for their contributions which make it possible for us to showcase our ten day events programme and dynamic array of private and public gardens to New Zealand and the world!

Start planning!
