Mark & Abbie Jury
This seven acre garden has passed through family generations and is now the home of Mark and Abbie Jury who continue to expand the garden and push the boundaries of what can be grown in their mild, sheltered conditions.
The Rimu Cathedral Avenue, with its subtropical woodland beneath trees which date back to the first Jury, Pioneer Thomas, who planted them in 1880, is recognised internationally as a unique experience. In mid spring, rhododendrons are a strong feature, particularly the fragrant nuttalliis and maddeniis.
Plants for sale during the festival include many of the renowned Jury hybrids, including magnolias, michelias, fragrant rhododendrons and lush hostas. Tea and coffee available.
